Low Angle Large Animal Rescue is essential for firefighters, law enforcement, animal control, humane societies and emergency animal response teams. This 3-day customized training brings together both response and planning. The first days will focus on the unique challenges of a large animal trapped and requires technical operations for rescue. Second day will look at Emergency Animal Sheltering that includes a functional exercise to set up a temporary shelter. The last day will be a workshop with animal responders, mass care responders, and Emergency Management to work through a multi-agency response for a mass shelter event in the morning; and then finish the day with the ASAR Pet First-aid/CPR training. Whether you are from the NM area or other locations in the U.S., this workshop will challenge all participants to adapt planning strategies to identify gaps and solutions to both small and large animal ASAR, evacuation, and sheltering issues.
